We spend most of our lives waiting for motivation to come and lift us when we don’t feel like doing what needs to be done.
But when we have deadlines or commitments and motivation isn’t anywhere to be seen, then what? Will you throw it all away just because you’re tired or unhappy at this point in your life? No. Forget that motivation exists, it’s not coming to save you.
It’s times like this that you need to call on your inner beast for backup.
His name is discipline.
We all have discipline within us. Some have just trained him better than others. And just like a muscle, the more he’s be trained, the stronger he’ll be to you in times when you feel that you can’t complete a task.
So next time you’re having the thought “I’ll do that later”, call upon discipline. Test him out. He may not be strong enough to help the first few times. But just like yourself when you get started lifting weights, the more you train, the stronger you become.
A stronger inner beast means a better life with less setbacks.
